Śloka 1
सहस्ररश्मितश्चन्द्रे कण्टकादिगते सति । / न्यूनमध्यवरिष्ठानि धनधीनैपुणानि हि ॥ १ ॥
When the Moon is placed in a kaṇṭaka (kendra) and so on reckoned from the Sun (the thousand-rayed one), then wealth, intelligence and skill are, respectively, deficient, middling and best.

Śloka 2
स्वांशेऽधिमित्रस्यांशे वा स्थितेऽथ दिवसे शशी । / गुरुणा दृश्यते तत्र जातो वित्तसुखान्वितः ॥ २ ॥
If the Moon, standing in its own navāṃśa or in the navāṃśa of a great friend (adhimitra), is aspected by Jupiter in a birth by day, one born then is possessed of wealth and happiness.

Śloka 3
स्वांशेऽधिमित्रस्यांशे वा स्थिते रात्रौ निशाकरः । / भृगुणा वीक्षितस्तर्हि सुखितो धनिको नरः ॥ ३ ॥
If in a birth by night the Moon, standing in its own navāṃśa or in the navāṃśa of a great friend, is aspected by Venus (Bhṛgu), then the man is happy and wealthy.

Śloka 4
विपरीते त्वतो जीवभृगुभ्यामवलोकिते । / जातोऽत्र योगजः स्वल्पवित्तो वा निःस्व एव हि ॥ ४ ॥
But in the contrary case to this, when [the Moon] is aspected by Jupiter and Venus [in the reversed arrangement], one born in that yoga has very little wealth, or is indeed destitute.

Śloka 5
इन्दोः षष्ठाष्टमदगैरधियोगः शुभग्रहैः । / बलानुसारतस्तत्र नृपोऽमात्यो बलाधिपः ॥ ५ ॥
Adhiyoga arises from benefic planets placed in the sixth, the eighth and the mada (seventh) from the Moon. There, according to their strength, [the native becomes] a king, a minister, or a lord of forces.

Śloka 6
चन्द्राद् वृद्धिगतैः सौम्यैर्निखिलैस्तु महाधनी । / द्वाभ्यां समोऽल्पवसुमानेकेन परिकीर्तितः ॥ ६ ॥
By all the benefics gone to the vṛddhi (increase) houses from the Moon one is greatly wealthy; by two [such benefics] he is declared middling, and by one, of scanty wealth.

Śloka 7
रविं विना विधोर्वित्तरिष्फोभयगतैर्ग्रहैः । / सुनफा चानफायोगः क्रमाद् दुरुधराभिधः ॥ ७ ॥
By planets — the Sun excepted — placed in the vitta (2nd), in the riṣpha (12th), and in both, counted from the Moon, arise respectively the yogas named Sunaphā, Anaphā and Durudharā.

Śloka 8
भूपो भूपसमो वापि मतिवित्तप्रसिद्धिमान् । / सुनफायोगजो जातः स्वबाहुबलवित्तवान् ॥ ८ ॥
One born of the Sunaphā yoga is a king, or equal to a king; possessed of intelligence, wealth and renown, and wealthy through the strength of his own arm.

Śloka 9
नृपो नीरुक् सुशीलश्च यशस्वी लोकविश्रुतः । / सुभगस्त्वनफोद्भूतो नानाविधसुखान्वितः ॥ ९ ॥
One arisen from Anaphā is a king, free of disease, of good character, famous, renowned among people, comely, and endowed with pleasures of many kinds.

Śloka 10
सद्वित्तवाहनयुतो दानशीलश्च सौख्यभाक् । / सदासो हतशत्रुश्च सदा दुरुधरोद्भवः ॥ १० ॥
One arisen from Durudharā is ever joined with good wealth and conveyances, of a charitable disposition, a partaker of comfort, possessed of servants, and one whose enemies are destroyed.

Śloka 11
रविं विनेन्दुतः कश्चिद् ग्रहो नैवार्थरिष्फगः । / केमद्रुमाभिधो योगः केन्द्रे ग्रहयुते न सः ॥ ११ ॥
When, the Sun excepted, no planet whatever occupies the artha (2nd) or the riṣpha (12th) from the Moon, the yoga named Kemadruma [arises]. It is not so when a kendra is occupied by a planet.

Śloka 12
तत्र जातो भवदेव विद्याहीनोऽतिनिन्दितः । / निःस्वो नानापत्तियुक्तो मानवो मतिवर्जितः ॥ १२ ॥
One born in that [Kemadruma] becomes indeed devoid of learning and much censured; the man is destitute, beset by calamities of many kinds, and bereft of intelligence.

Śloka 13
चन्द्रयोगो निरस्यान्ययोगजातं फलं स्वकम् । / प्रयच्छति विशेषेण वेद्यमेतद् बुधैः सदा ॥ १३ ॥
A Candra-yoga, having cast aside the fruit produced by other yogas, bestows its own fruit in a special degree. This is always to be known by the wise.
