Śloka 57 — Śukra nīca / combust / with pāpa

If Venus, being either in his nīca rāśi or combust, is at the same time joined with or aspected by pāpa grahas — then (in his antardaśā) there is loss of land, and even the destruction of sons, friends and the like, and of the wife, may occur; there is loss of four-footed creatures, and opposition at the king's gate.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 57

Śloka 58 — Śukra in the 2nd, in ucca or own rāśi

If Venus is placed in the dhana (2nd) bhāva, or is in his own ucca (exaltation), or is joined with his own rāśi (own sign) —

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 58

Śloka 59 — Śukra in 2nd — treasure, land, progeny

There is the gain of a treasure, great comfort, gain of land, and the birth of a son. And if [Venus is] joined with the lords of the bhāgya (9th) and the lābha (11th), there is also an increase of fortune.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 59

Śloka 60 — Śukra in 2nd — royal grace and devotion

By the grace of the great king there is fulfilment of desires, bringing happiness; devotion to the deities and to brāhmaṇas; and the acquisition of pearls and coral.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 60

Śloka 61 — Śukra in 11th/trikoṇa/kendra from the daśā-lord

If Venus is in the lābha (11th) from the daśā-lord, or in a trikoṇa or a kendra — there is increase of house and land, gain of money, and great happiness.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 61

Śloka 62 — Śukra in 6th/8th/12th from the daśā-lord with pāpa

If [Venus] stands in the ripu (6th) or randhra (8th) from the daśā-lord, or in the vyaya (12th), joined with pāpa grahas — there is residence abroad, the pain of sorrow, and torment from death, thieves and the like.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 62

Śloka 63 — Śukra as 2nd/7th lord — apamṛtyu and remedy

But when [Venus is] lord of the second or of the dyūna (7th), there is fear of an untimely death. For the removal of that doṣa one should have the Rudra-japa performed.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 63

Śloka 64 — Sūrya antardaśā — Sun well-placed

When the Sun runs as antardaśā within the Moon's daśā, and the Sun is in his own ucca or joined with his own rāśi, or is strong in a kendra, a trikoṇa, the lābha (11th), the dhana (2nd), or the sodara (3rd) bhāva —

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 64

Śloka 65 — Sūrya well-placed — recovery of lost kingdom

There is recovery of a lost kingdom and lost wealth; auspicious welfare in the house; and through the favour of friends and of the king, the coming of a village, land and the like.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 65

Śloka 66 — Sūrya well-placed — conception; end of the bhukti

There is the attainment of the fruit of conception; Lakṣmī casts her glance upon the house. At the end of the bhukti there will be sluggishness in the body and affliction by fever.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 66

Śloka 67 — Sūrya in 8th/12th from the daśā-lord with pāpa

But if [the Sun] stands in the randhra (8th) from the daśā-lord, or in the vyaya (12th), joined with pāpa grahas — there is fear from the king, thieves and snakes, and the onset of fever and other diseases.

BPHS Adhyāya 54, śloka 67

Śloka 68 — Sūrya afflicted — travel, fever, and remedy

And on a journey to a foreign land there will surely be distress — of this there is no doubt. But when [the Sun is] lord of the second or of the dyūna (7th), affliction by fever will occur. For the removal of that doṣa one should have the worship of Śiva performed.
