स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे जीवे लग्नात् केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे । अनेकराजराजो वा सम्पन्नो राजपूजितः ॥ १ ॥
When Jīva (Jupiter) is in his own ucca or in his own kṣetra, and stands in a kendra or a trikoṇa from the lagna, [the native] becomes overlord of many kings, or prosperous and honoured by the king.

Śloka 2 — Continuation of the strong-Jupiter results — livestock, vehicles, new buildings
गोमहिष्यादिलाभश्च वस्त्रवाहनभूषणम् । नूतनस्थाननिर्माणं हर्म्यप्राकारसंयुतम् ॥ २ ॥
There is gain of cows, buffaloes and the like, of clothing, conveyances and ornaments; and the building of a new residence furnished with a mansion and an enclosing wall.

Śloka 3 — Continuation — elephants, fortune, honour from brāhmaṇas and rulers
गजान्तैश्वर्यसम्पत्तिर्भाग्यसत्कर्मसंयुता । ब्राह्मणप्रभुसम्मानं समानं मुखदर्शनम् ॥ ३ ॥
There is wealth and lordship extending even to elephants, joined with good fortune and meritorious deeds; honour from brāhmaṇas and from the ruler, and an equal (i.e. face-to-face) audience with him.

Śloka 4 — End of the auspicious set; beginning of the debilitated-Jupiter condition
स्वप्रभोः स्वफलाधिक्यं लाभः स्याद्दारपुत्रयोः । नीचांशे नीचराशिस्थे षष्ठाष्टव्ययराशिगे ॥ ४ ॥
From his own master there is increase of his own returns; there is gain regarding wife and sons. — [But] when [Jupiter] is in a debilitation aṃśa, or placed in a debilitation rāśi, or gone to the 6th, 8th or 12th rāśi:

Śloka 5 — Debilitated / duḥsthāna Jupiter in its own antardaśā — bad company, quarrels
नीचसङ्गो महद्दुःखं दायादैः कलहः समम् । अविचारेण कलहोऽपमृत्युः स्वप्रभोरपि ॥ ५ ॥
There is association with low people, great sorrow, and quarrel with co-heirs alike; quarrel arising from thoughtlessness, and even an untimely death of his own master.

Śloka 6 — Loss of wife and sons; bodily affliction if Jupiter owns the 7th
पुत्रदारवियोगश्च धनधान्यार्थनाशनम् । सप्तमाधिपदोषेण देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ६ ॥
There is separation from sons and wife, and destruction of wealth, grain and substance; and through the blemish of [Jupiter's] lordship of the 7th, bodily affliction will occur.

Śloka 7 — Remedy — Śiva-sahasranāma, Rudra-japa, gift of a cow
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् । रुद्रजाप्यं च गोदानं कुर्यादिष्टप्रदायकम् ॥ ७ ॥
To remove that blemish one should recite the thousand names of Śiva; one should also perform the Rudra-japa and the gift of a cow, which bestows what is desired.

Śloka 8 — Śani antardaśā in Guru daśā — Saturn strong
जीवस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रमित्रभे । लग्नात् केन्द्रत्रिकोणस्थे लाभे वा बलसंयुते ॥ ८ ॥
When, within the daśā of Jīva (Jupiter), the antardaśā of Manda (Saturn) has come, and he is in his own ucca, his own kṣetra or a friend's sign, standing in a kendra or trikoṇa from the lagna, or in the 11th, and endowed with strength:

Śloka 9 — Results — kingdom, comfort, clothes, ornaments, wealth, women
राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं वस्त्राभरणसंयुतम् । धनधान्यादिलाभश्च स्त्रीलाभो बहुलं सुखम् ॥ ९ ॥
There is acquisition of kingdom, great comfort attended with clothing and ornaments, gain of wealth and grain and the like, gain of a woman, and abundant happiness.

Śloka 10 — Results — conveyances, land, sons and friends, palanquin
वाहनाम्बरपश्वादेर्लाभो भूस्थानयोरपि । पुत्रमित्रादिसौख्यं च नरवाहनजं तथा ॥ १० ॥
There is gain of conveyances, garments, cattle and the like, and of land and dwelling; happiness from sons, friends and so forth, and likewise that arising from a man-borne conveyance (palanquin).

Śloka 11 — Results — blue cloth, a blue horse, westward journey, royal audience
नीलवस्त्रादिलाभश्च नीलाश्वं लभते च सः । पश्चिमां दिशमाश्रित्य प्रयाणं राजदर्शनम् ॥ ११ ॥
There is gain of blue garments and the like, and he obtains a dark-blue horse; taking the western direction there is a journey, and audience with the king.

Śloka 12 — End of Saturn's good results; beginning of the afflicted-Saturn condition
अनेकयानलाभं च मन्दभुक्तिषु निर्दिशेत् । लग्नात् षष्ठाष्टमे मन्दे व्यये नीचेऽस्तगेऽप्यरौ ॥ १२ ॥
One should declare gain of many vehicles in the bhuktis of Manda. — [But] when Saturn is in the 6th or 8th from the lagna, or in the 12th, or debilitated, or set (combust), or in an enemy's sign:

Śloka 13 — Afflicted Saturn — loss of wealth, fever, mental illness, sores
धनधान्यादिनाशश्च ज्वरपीडा मनोरुजा । स्त्रीपुत्रादिषु पीडा च व्रणार्त्यादिकमुद्भवेत् ॥ १३ ॥
There is destruction of wealth, grain and the like, torment from fever, illness of mind, affliction to wife, sons and others, and there arises distress from sores and the like.

Śloka 14 — Afflicted Saturn — inauspicious happenings at home, loss of cattle
गृहे त्वशुभकार्याणि भृत्यवर्गादिपीडनम् । गोमहिष्यादिहानिश्च बन्धुद्वेषो भविष्यति ॥ १४ ॥
In the house there are inauspicious occurrences, torment of the servants and their circle, loss of cows, buffaloes and the like, and there will be enmity with relatives.

Śloka 15 — Saturn in kendra/koṇa/11th/2nd from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणस्थे लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा । भूलाभश्चार्थलाभश्च पुत्रलाभसुखं भवेत् ॥ १५ ॥
When [Saturn] stands in a kendra or koṇa from the daśā-lord, or in the 11th, or in the 2nd, there is gain of land, gain of wealth, and the happiness of gaining a son.

Śloka 16 — Cattle and wealth from śūdras; then Saturn in 6th/8th/12th with malefics
गोमहिष्यादिलाभश्च शूद्रमूलाद्धनागमः । दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ १६ ॥
There is gain of cows, buffaloes and the like, and income of wealth from a śūdra source. — [But] when [Saturn] stands in the 6th (ripu) or 8th (randhra) from the daśā-lord, or in the 12th, and is joined with malefics:

Śloka 17 — Afflicted Saturn from daśā-lord — loss, enmity, obstruction of enterprise
धनधान्यादिनाशश्च बन्धुमित्रविरोधनम् । उद्योगभङ्गो देहार्तिः स्वजनानां महद् भयम् ॥ १७ ॥
There is destruction of wealth and grain, opposition with relatives and friends, collapse of enterprise, bodily pain, and great fear on the part of his own people.

Śloka 18 — Saturn as lord of 2nd/7th — untimely death; remedy Viṣṇu-sahasranāma
द्विसप्तमाधिपे मन्दे ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥ १८ ॥
If Manda (Saturn) is lord of the 2nd or the 7th, an untimely death will occur. To remove that blemish one should recite the thousand names of Viṣṇu.

Śloka 19 — Remedy (gift of a black cow/buffalo); then Budha antardaśā begins
कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्यादनेनारोग्यमादिशेत् । जीवस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ॥ १९ ॥
One should give a black cow and a buffalo; by this, health is to be declared. — When, within the daśā of Jīva, the antardaśā of Saumya (Mercury) has come, and he is in a kendra, in the 11th, or in a trikoṇa:

Śloka 20 — Mercury strong — mixed result including loss of wealth
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वापि दशाधिपसमन्विते । अर्थनाशो देहसौख्यं राज्यलाभो महासुखम् ॥ २० ॥
Or when [Mercury] is in his own ucca or his own sign, or joined with the daśā-lord: there is loss of wealth, bodily comfort, acquisition of kingdom, and great happiness.

Śloka 21 — Fulfilment of desires by royal favour; a house full of livestock
महाराजप्रसादेनाभीष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा । वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिगोधनैः सङ्कुलं गृहम् ॥ २१ ॥
By the favour of the great king there is accomplishment of what is desired, bringing happiness; and the house is crowded with conveyances, garments, cattle and wealth in cows.

Śloka 22 — Mercury aspected by Mars — enemies increase, business loss, fever, dysentery
महीसुतेन संदृष्टे शत्रुवृद्धिः सुखक्षयः । व्यवसायात् फलं नेष्टं ज्वरातीसारपीडनम् ॥ २२ ॥
When [Mercury] is aspected by the son of the Earth (Mars), there is increase of enemies, decay of happiness, unwanted results from business, and torment from fever and dysentery.

Śloka 23 — Mercury in kendra/koṇa from the daśā-lord, or exalted
दायेशात् केन्द्रगे कोणे गते वा तुङ्गसंस्थिते । स्वदेशे धनलाभश्च पितृमातृसुखावहः ॥ २३ ॥
When [Mercury] is in a kendra from the daśā-lord, or gone to a koṇa, or placed in exaltation, there is gain of wealth in his own country, bringing happiness to father and mother.

Śloka 24 — Elephants and horses by royal favour; then Mercury in 6th/8th/12th with malefics
गजवाजिसमायुक्तो राजमित्रप्रसादतः । दायेशात् षष्ठरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ २४ ॥
He becomes possessed of elephants and horses through the favour of the king and of friends. — [But] when [Mercury] stands in the 6th or 8th from the daśā-lord, or in the 12th, and is joined with malefics:

Śloka 25 — Mercury afflicted and without benefic aspect — loss, foreign travel, thieves
शुभदृष्टिविहीने च धनधान्यपरिच्युतिः । विदेशगमनं चैव मार्गे चौरभयं तथा ॥ २५ ॥
And when [that Mercury — placed in the 6th, 8th or 12th from the daśā lord and conjoined with a malefic, per v.24b] is also devoid of benefic aspect, there is falling away of wealth and grain, going to a foreign land, and fear of thieves on the road.

Śloka 26 — Sores, burns, eye disease; Mercury in 6th/8th/12th from lagna — address to Maitreya
व्रणदाहाक्षिरोगश्च नानादेशाटनं भवेत् । लग्नात् षष्ठेऽष्टमे विप्र ! व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ २६ ॥
There are sores, burning and eye-disease, and wandering through various countries. O Vipra (Maitreya)! When [Mercury] is in the 6th or 8th from the lagna, or in the 12th, joined with malefics:

Śloka 27 — Sudden quarrels, harsh speech at home, loss of quadrupeds and in trade
अकस्मात् कलहश्चैव गृहे निष्ठुरभाषणम् । चतुष्पाज्जीवजा हानिर्व्यवहारे तथैव च ॥ २७ ॥
There is quarrel without cause and harsh speech in the house; loss arising through four-footed creatures, and likewise loss in dealings.

Śloka 28 — Fear of untimely death; then Mercury aspected/joined by benefics
अपमृत्युभयं चैव शत्रुभिः कलहो भवेत् । शुभदृष्टे शुभैर्युक्ते दानसौख्यं धनागमः ॥ २८ ॥
There is fear of untimely death, and quarrel with enemies. — [But if that same Mercury, standing in a trika house,] is aspected by benefics or joined with benefics, there is the happiness of gift-giving and income of wealth.

Śloka 29 — Good at the start, loss of wealth at the end
आदौ शुभं देहसौख्यं लाभो वाहनवाससोः । अन्ते तु धनहानिश्चेत् स्वात्मसौख्यं न जायते ॥ २९ ॥
At the beginning there is auspiciousness, bodily comfort, and gain of conveyance and clothing; but at the end there is loss of wealth, and happiness of one's own self does not arise.

Śloka 30 — Mercury as lord of 2nd/7th — untimely death; remedy Viṣṇu-sahasranāma
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे वा ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥ ३० ॥
Or if [Mercury] is lord of the 2nd or the 7th (dyūna), an untimely death will occur. To remove that blemish one should recite the thousand names of Viṣṇu.

Śloka 31 — Ketu antardaśā in Guru daśā — Ketu with benefics
जीवस्यान्तर्गते केतौ शुभग्रहसमन्विते । स्वल्पसौख्यं धनावाप्तिः कुत्सितान्नस्य भोजनम् ॥ ३१ ॥
When, within the daśā of Jīva, the antardaśā of Ketu has come and he is joined with benefic grahas, there is slight happiness, acquisition of wealth, and the eating of despised food.

Śloka 32 — Food of śrāddha or of others; wealth from sinful sources; then Ketu in 6/8/12
श्राद्धान्नं वा परान्नं वा पापमूलाद्धनानि च । दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ ३२ ॥
[He eats] food of a śrāddha or the food of others, and [obtains] wealth from a sinful source. — [But] when [Ketu] stands in the 6th or 8th from the daśā-lord, or in the 12th, joined with malefics:

Śloka 33 — Afflicted Ketu — royal wrath, imprisonment, disease, enmity with father and brother
राजकोपाद्धनच्छेदो बन्धनं रोगपीडनम् । बलहानिः पितृद्वेषो भ्रातृद्वेषो मनोरुजा ॥ ३३ ॥
Through the king's wrath there is cutting off of wealth, imprisonment, and torment by disease; loss of strength, enmity with the father, enmity with brothers, and illness of mind.

Śloka 34 — Ketu in 5th/9th/4th/10th from the daśā-lord — palanquin yoga
दायेशात् सुतभाग्यस्थे वाहने कर्मगेऽपि वा । नरवाहनयोगश्च गजाश्वाम्बरसङ्कुलम् ॥ ३४ ॥
When [Ketu] stands in the 5th (suta) or 9th (bhāgya) from the daśā-lord, or in the 4th (vāhana) or the 10th (karma), there is the yoga of a man-borne conveyance, and abundance of elephants, horses and garments.

Śloka 35 — Fulfilment by royal favour; profit in business; livestock
महाराजप्रसादेनाभीष्टकार्यार्थसिद्धयः । व्यवसायात् फलाधिक्यं गोमहिष्याद्यवाप्तयः ॥ ३५ ॥
By the favour of the great king the desired undertakings and aims are accomplished; there is abundant profit from business, and acquisition of cows, buffaloes and the like.

Śloka 36 — Wealth from a Yavana ruler; Ketu as lord of 2nd/7th — bodily affliction
यवनप्रभुमूलाद् वा संलाभो वित्तवाससाम् । द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ३६ ॥
Or, from a Yavana ruler as the source, there is gain of money and garments. But if [Ketu] be lord of the 2nd or of the 7th (dyūna), bodily affliction will occur.

Śloka 37 — Remedy — gift of a goat, Mṛtyuñjaya-japa, general śānti
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् । सर्वदोषप्रशमनीं शान्तिं कुर्याद्विधानतः ॥ ३७ ॥
One should make the gift of a goat and perform the Mṛtyuñjaya-japa; one should perform, according to the prescribed rite, the śānti that quells all blemishes.

Śloka 38 — Śukra antardaśā in Guru daśā — Venus well placed
जीवस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा । लाभे वा स्वोच्चराशिस्थे स्वक्षेत्रे शुभसंयुते ॥ ३८ ॥
When, within the daśā of Jīva, the antardaśā of Śukra (Venus) has come and he is in a trikoṇa or a kendra, or in the 11th, or placed in his ucca rāśi or his own kṣetra, and joined with benefics:

Śloka 39 — Palanquin yoga, elephants, horses, garments; wealth by royal favour
नरवाहनयोगश्च गजाश्वाम्बरसंयुतिः । महाराजप्रसादेन धनाधिक्यं महत् सुखम् ॥ ३९ ॥
There is the yoga of a man-borne conveyance and the acquisition of elephants, horses and garments; by the favour of the great king, abundance of wealth and great happiness.

Śloka 40 — Eastward journey bringing wealth; welfare, affection, parental happiness
पूर्वामाशां समाश्रित्य प्रयाणं धनलाभकृत् । कल्याणं च महाप्रीतिः पितृमातृसुखावहा ॥ ४० ॥
Taking the eastern direction, a journey producing gain of wealth; welfare, and great affection that brings happiness to father and mother.

Śloka 41 — Devotion to deity and guru; charity; building tanks and gateways
देवतागुरुभक्तिश्चाप्यन्नदानं महत् तथा । तडागगोपुरादीनि कुर्यात् पुण्यानि भूरिशः ॥ ४१ ॥
There is devotion to the deity and to the guru, and likewise great giving of food; he performs meritorious works in abundance — tanks, gateways and the like.

Śloka 42 — Venus in 6th/8th/12th, debilitated, or so placed from the daśā-lord
षष्ठाष्टमव्यये नीचे दायेशाद् वा तथैव च । कलहो बन्धुवैषम्यं दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ४२ ॥
When [Venus] is in the 6th, 8th or 12th, or debilitated, or likewise so placed from the daśā-lord, there is quarrel, discord with relatives, and affliction of wife, sons and others.

Śloka 43 — Venus with Saturn or Rāhu — quarrels from the king, from a woman, from the father-in-law
मन्दराहुसमायुक्ते कलहो राजतोऽतिभीः । स्त्रीमूलात् कलहश्चैव श्वशुरात् कलहस्तथा ॥ ४३ ॥
When [Venus] is joined with Manda (Saturn) or Rāhu, there is quarrel and great fear from the king; quarrel with a woman as its source, and likewise quarrel with the father-in-law.

Śloka 44 — Dispute with brother; then Venus in a kendra/2nd/9th from the daśā-lord
सोदरेण विवादः स्याद् धनधान्यपरिच्युतिः । दायेशात् केन्द्रराशिस्थे धने वा भाग्यगेऽपि वा ॥ ४४ ॥
There is dispute with a uterine brother and falling away of wealth and grain. — [But] when [Venus] stands in a kendra rāśi from the daśā-lord, or in the 2nd (dhana), or in the 9th (bhāgya):

Śloka 45 — Gain of wealth, a woman, royal audience, conveyance, son, cattle
धनधान्यादिलाभश्च स्त्रीलाभो राजदर्शनम् । वाहनं पुत्रलाभश्च पशुवृद्धिर्महत् सुखम् ॥ ४५ ॥
There is gain of wealth, grain and the like, gain of a woman, audience with the king, a conveyance, gain of a son, increase of cattle, and great happiness.

Śloka 46 — Music, company of the learned, fine food, support of kinsmen
गीतवाद्यप्रसङ्गादि विद्वज्जनसमागमः । दिव्यान्नभोजनं सौख्यं स्वबन्धुजनपोषणम् ॥ ४६ ॥
There is occasion for song and instrumental music and the like, meeting with learned people, the eating of excellent food, comfort, and the maintenance of his own kinsfolk.

Śloka 47 — Venus as lord of 2nd/7th — loss of wealth, fear of untimely death
द्विसप्तमाधिपे शुक्रे तद्दशायां वसुक्षयः । अपमृत्युभयं तस्य स्त्रीमूलादौपघादिभिः ॥ ४७ ॥
When Śukra is lord of the 2nd or the 7th, in his daśā there is decay of wealth; and there is for him fear of untimely death from a woman as its source, through poisonings and the like.

Śloka 48 — Remedy — śānti rite, gift of a white cow and a buffalo
तस्य रोगस्य शान्त्यर्थं शान्तिकर्म समाचरेत् । श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यदायिनीम् ॥ ४८ ॥
For the quelling of that disease one should perform the śānti rite; one should give a white cow and a buffalo, which bestows long life and health.

Śloka 49 — Sūrya antardaśā in Guru daśā — Sun well placed
जीवस्यान्तर्गते सूर्ये स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगेऽपि वा । केन्द्रे वाथ त्रिकोणे च दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि च ॥ ४९ ॥
When, within the daśā of Jīva, the antardaśā of Sūrya has come and he is in his own ucca or his own kṣetra, or in a kendra or a trikoṇa, or in the 3rd (duścikya) or the 11th:

Conveyances, garments, cattle and the like, ornaments, and the birth of a son; through friends and one's master everything desired and every undertaking becomes auspicious.

When Sūrya is in the 6th, 8th or 12th, or likewise so from the daśā-lord, there is affliction from head-disease and the like, and likewise torment from fever.

Śloka 53 — Loss of good conduct, delight in sinful acts, universal hostility, separation

There is deprivation of meritorious action and, likewise, delight in sinful action; hostility of people everywhere, and separation from one's own kinsfolk.

Śloka 54 — Sudden quarrel; Sun as lord of 2nd/7th — bodily pain

And there is quarrel without cause, when within the daśā of Jīva the antardaśā of Ravi has come. But if he is lord of the 2nd or of the 7th (dyūna), bodily pain will occur.

Śloka 55 — Remedy — Āditya-hṛdaya japa and worship of the Sun
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थमादित्यहृदयं जपेत् । सर्वपीडोपशमनं सूर्यपूजनमाचरेत् ॥ ५५ ॥
To remove that blemish one should recite the Āditya-hṛdaya; one should perform the worship of Sūrya, which quells all affliction.

When [the Moon] stands in a benefic rāśi from the daśā-lord, there is splendour of royal honour, happiness from wife, sons and others, and likewise the eating of milk-foods.

Śloka 58 — Good deeds, fame, increase of progeny, royal favour
सत्कर्म च तथा कीर्तिः पुत्रपौत्रादिवर्धनम् । महाराजप्रसादेन सर्वसौख्यं धनागमः ॥ ५८ ॥
There is meritorious action and likewise fame, increase of sons, grandsons and the rest; by the favour of the great king, every kind of comfort and income of wealth.

Śloka 59 — Happiness from many people, charity; then the weak / afflicted Moon
[अनेकजनसौख्यं च दानधर्मादिसंग्रहः ।] षष्ठाष्टमव्यये चन्द्रे गते वा पापसंयुते । दायेशात् षष्ठरन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ॥ ५९ ॥
[There is happiness from many people and an accumulation of charity, dharma and the like.] — When Candra has gone to the 6th, 8th or 12th, or is joined with malefics, or is in the 6th or 8th from the daśā-lord, or in the 12th, and is devoid of strength:

Śloka 60 — Weak Moon — loss of honour, wealth, relatives; trouble from kings and thieves
मानार्थबन्धुहानिश्च विदेशपरिविच्युतिः । नृपचौरादिपीडा च दायादैः कलहः समम् ॥ ६० ॥
There is loss of honour, wealth and relatives, and a falling away into foreign parts; affliction from kings, thieves and the like, and quarrel with co-heirs alike.

Śloka 61 — Separation from maternal uncle, distress of mother; Moon lord of 2nd/7th/6th; remedy Durgā-pāṭha
[मातुलादिवियोगश्च मातृपीडा तथैव च ।] द्वितीयद्यूनषष्ठेशे देहपीडा भविष्यति । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गापाठं च कारयेत् ॥ ६१ ॥
[There is separation from the maternal uncle and others, and likewise distress of the mother.] — If [the Moon] is lord of the 2nd, the 7th (dyūna) or the 6th, bodily pain will occur; to remove that blemish one should have the Durgā recitation performed.

Śloka 63 — Learning, marriage, gain of village and land, influence over people
विद्याविवाहकार्याणि ग्रामभूम्यादिकागमः । जनसामर्थ्यमाप्नोति सर्वकार्यार्थसिद्धिदम् ॥ ६३ ॥
There are undertakings of learning and of marriage, and the acquisition of a village, land and the like; he attains power over people, which grants the accomplishment of every undertaking and aim.

Śloka 64 — Mars in kendra/koṇa/11th/2nd from the daśā-lord, with benefics
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणस्थे लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा । शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे धनधान्यादिसम्पदः ॥ ६४ ॥
When [Mars] stands in a kendra or koṇa from the daśā-lord, or in the 11th, or in the 2nd, joined with benefics and aspected by benefics, there is wealth of money, grain and the like.

Śloka 65 — Feasting others, royal affection, happiness from wife, birth of a son, pilgrimage merit
मिष्टान्नदानविभवो राजप्रीतिः शुभावहा । स्त्रीसौख्यं च सुतावाप्तिः पुण्यतीर्थफलं भवेत् ॥ ६५ ॥
There is the opulence of giving sweet food, the king's affection bringing auspiciousness, happiness from a wife, the obtaining of a son, and the fruit of holy pilgrimage places.

Śloka 66 — Mars in 8th/12th from the daśā-lord, debilitated or with malefics — loss of home
दायेशादष्टमे वापि व्यये वा नीचगेऽपि वा । पापयुक्तेक्षिते वापि धान्यार्थगृहनाशनम् ॥ ६६ ॥
Or when [Mars] is in the 8th from the daśā-lord, or in the 12th, or gone to debilitation, or joined with and aspected by malefics, there is destruction of grain, wealth and house.

Śloka 67 — Many diseases, eye-disease; distress in the first half, happiness in the second
नानारोगमयं दुःखं नेत्ररोगादिसम्भवम् । पूर्वार्धे त्वधिकः क्लेशोऽपरार्धे च महत् सुखम् ॥ ६७ ॥
There is sorrow consisting of many diseases, and the arising of eye-disease and the like; in the first half [of the period] there is greater distress, and in the latter half great happiness.

Śloka 68 — Mars as lord of 2nd/7th — bodily torpor; remedy, gift of an ox
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहजाड्यं मनोरुजा । अनड्वाहं प्रदद्याच्च सर्वशान्तिप्रदायकम् ॥ ६८ ॥
But if [Mars] is lord of the 2nd or the 7th (dyūna), there is torpor of the body and illness of mind; and one should give an ox, which bestows complete peace.

When, within the daśā of Jīva, the antardaśā of Rāhu has come and he is in his own ucca or in a kendra, or in his mūlatrikoṇa or a koṇa, and joined with a lord of a kendra:

शुभयुक्तेक्षिते वापि योगप्रीतिं समादिशेत् । भुक्त्यादौ शरमासांश्च लाभः स्याद्धनधान्ययोः ॥ ७० ॥
Or again, when [Rāhu] is conjoined with or aspected by benefics, one should declare yoga and affection (yoga-prīti). At the commencement of the bhukti, for five months, there is gain of wealth and of grain.

Śloka 71 — Rāhu antardaśā — continued auspicious results (authority, royal favour, command of forces)
देशग्रामाधिकारश्च यवनप्रभुदर्शनम् । गृहे कल्याणसम्पत्तिः सेनापत्यं विशेषतः ॥ ७१ ॥
Authority over a country or a village; audience with a Yavana ruler; auspicious celebrations and prosperity in the home; and, especially, the office of commander of the army.

Śloka 72 — Rāhu antardaśā — pilgrimage, merit, fulfilment of desires
दूरयात्राधिगमनं पुण्यधर्मादिसङ्ग्रहः । सेतुस्नानफलावाप्तिरिष्टसिद्धिः सुखप्रदा ॥ ७२ ॥
Undertaking of a distant journey; the amassing of merit, dharma and the like; the obtaining of the fruit of bathing at the Setu; and the accomplishment of the desired object, which bestows happiness.

Śloka 73 — Rāhu antardaśā — Rāhu in 8th/12th from the daśā lord with malefics
दायेशाद्रन्ध्रगेहे वा व्ययगे पापसंयुते । चौराहिव्रणभीतिश्च राजवैषम्यमेव च ॥ ७३ ॥
But if [Rāhu], joined with malefics, stands in the randhra house (8th) or is placed in the vyaya (12th) reckoned from the lord of the daśā — there is fear of thieves, of snakes and of wounds, and likewise discord with the king.

Śloka 74 — Rāhu antardaśā (afflicted) — domestic burden, strife with brother and co-heirs
गृहे कर्मकलापेन व्याकुलो भवति ध्रुवम् । सोदरेण विरोधः स्याद् दायादाद्यैः कलिस्तथा ॥ ७४ ॥
He is assuredly harassed by the mass of business in the household; there is opposition with his own brother, and likewise quarrel with co-heirs and the rest.

Śloka 75 — Rāhu antardaśā (afflicted) — inauspicious events, bad dreams, sudden quarrels, disease
गृहे त्वशुभकार्याणि दुःस्वप्नादिभयं ध्रुवम् । अकस्मात् कलहश्चैव क्षुद्रशून्यादिकामयः ॥ ७५ ॥
Inauspicious happenings in the home, and certainly fear arising from evil dreams and the like; sudden quarrels too, and diseases of the kṣudra, śūnya and similar kinds.

Śloka 76 — Rāhu in the 2nd or 7th — bodily affliction; Mṛtyuñjaya japa remedy
द्विसप्तमस्थिते राहौ देहबाधां विनिर्दिशेत् । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ॥ ७६ ॥
When Rāhu is situated in the second or the seventh [from the daśā lord], one should declare affliction of the body. For the removal of that doṣa he should perform the japa of the Mṛtyuñjaya [mantra].

Śloka 77 — Remedy — gift of a goat; propitiation of Rāhu
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत सर्वसौख्यं तथा भवेत् । जपपूजनतो राहुसंतुष्टिः स्यान्न संशयः ॥ ७७ ॥
He should make the gift of a goat; thereby total well-being will come about. Through japa and worship there is satisfaction of Rāhu — of this there is no doubt.
