Śloka unnumbered closing half-line after 78 — Remedy (śānti) for the apamṛtyu doṣa
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ।
For the sake of averting that doṣa, one should recite the Viṣṇu-sahasra(nāma).

Śloka 1 — Ketu-antardaśā in Ketu daśā — the auspicious configuration

(Parāśara said:) When (Ketu) stands in a kendra, in a trikoṇa, or in the 11th, or in the dhvaja, joined with the lord of the lagna, well connected with the lords of the 9th and the 10th, and accompanied by the lord of the vehicle-house (the 4th) —

Śloka 2 — Result of a well-placed Ketu antardaśā — gains and family happiness
तद्भुक्तौ धनधान्यादेः संलाभश्च चतुष्पदाम् । पुत्रदारादिसौख्यं च राजप्रीतिर्मनोरुजा ॥ २ ॥
In its bhukti there is full gain of wealth, grain and the like, and of quadrupeds; happiness from sons, wife and so forth; the affection of the king; (yet) affliction of mind.

Śloka 3 — Continuation of gains; then the afflicted Ketu configuration
ग्रामभूम्यादिलाभश्च गृहं गोकुलसंकुलम् । नीचास्तखेटसंयुक्ते ह्यष्टमे व्ययगेऽपि वा ॥ ३ ॥
— and gain of village, land and the like, and a house crowded with a herd of cows. But when (Ketu) is joined with a graha that is in nīca or combust, and stands in the 8th or in the 12th —

Śloka 4 — Result of an afflicted Ketu antardaśā
हृद्रोगो मानहानिश्च धनधान्यपशुक्षयः । दारपुत्रादिपीडा च मनश्चाञ्चल्यमेव च ॥ ४ ॥
— heart disease, loss of honour, destruction of wealth, grain and cattle, affliction of wife and sons and the rest, and restlessness of the mind.

Śloka 5 — Ketu connected with the lord of the 2nd or 7th
द्वितीयद्यूननाथेन सम्बन्धे तत्र संस्थिते । अनारोग्यं महत्कष्टं वियोगश्चात्मबन्धुभिः ॥ ५ ॥
When (Ketu) has a connection with the lord of the 2nd or of the 7th, or is placed therein, there is ill-health, great distress, and separation from one's own kinsmen.

Śloka 6 — Remedy for that doṣa
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गादेवीजपं तथा । मृत्युञ्जयजपं कुर्यादायुरारोग्यवर्धकम् ॥ ६ ॥
To remove that doṣa one should perform japa of Durgā Devī and likewise japa of Mṛtyuñjaya, which increases longevity and health.

Śloka 7 — Śukra-antardaśā — auspicious placement
केतोरन्तर्गते शुक्रे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुते । केन्द्रत्रिकोणलाभे वा राज्यनाथेन संयुते ॥ ७ ॥
When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Śukra passes as antardaśā-lord and stands in his ucca or in his own kṣetra, or in a kendra, a trikoṇa or the 11th, and is joined with the lord of the kingdom-house (the 10th) —

Śloka 8 — Result — royal favour and sudden fortune
राजप्रीतिं च सौभाग्यं राजतोऽम्बरसंकुलम् । तत्काले श्रियमाप्नोति भाग्यकर्मेशसंयुते ॥ ८ ॥
— the affection of the king, good fortune, and abundance of garments from the king; and when (Śukra) is joined with the lords of the 9th and the 10th, at that very time he obtains prosperity.

Śloka 9 — Further results — recovery of lost kingdom and wealth, pilgrimage
नष्टराज्यधनप्राप्तिः सुखवाहनमुत्तमम् । सेतुस्नानादिकं चैव देवतादर्शनं महत् ॥ ९ ॥
— recovery of lost kingdom and lost wealth, an excellent and comfortable vehicle, bathing at Setu and such places, and the great sight of the deity.

Śloka 10 — Gain by royal favour; Śukra reckoned from the daśā-lord
महाराजप्रसादेन ग्रामभूम्यादिकागमः । दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ॥ १० ॥
— by the favour of a great king, the coming of village, land and the like. And when (Śukra) stands, reckoned from the daśā-lord, in a kendra or a koṇa, or in the 3rd, or in the 11th —

Śloka 11 — Result — health, household welfare, conveyances
देहारोग्यं शुभं चैव गृहे कल्याणशोभनम् । भोजनाम्बरभूषाप्तिरवाप्ती रथदोलयोः ॥ ११ ॥
— bodily health and auspiciousness, splendid welfare in the home, obtaining food, garments and ornaments, and the acquisition of a chariot and a palanquin.

Śloka 12 — Śukra in the 6th, 8th or 12th from the daśā-lord, with pāpas
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते । अकस्मात् कलहश्चैव पशुधान्यादिपीडनम् ॥ १२ ॥
When (Śukra) stands, from the daśā-lord, in the 6th or the 8th, or in the 12th, and is joined with pāpa grahas, there is sudden quarrel and harm to cattle, grain and the like.

Śloka 13 — Śukra with a nīca graha, in the 6th or 8th from lagna
नीचस्थखेटसंयुक्ते लग्नात् षष्ठाष्टराशिगे । स्वबन्धुजनवैषम्यं शिरोऽक्षिव्रणपीडनम् ॥ १३ ॥
When (Śukra) is joined with a graha standing in nīca and occupies the 6th or 8th rāśi from the lagna, there is discord with one's own kinsfolk, and affliction from sores of the head and the eyes.

Śloka 14 — Further evil results
हृद्रोगं मानहानिं च धनधान्यपशुक्षयम् । कलत्रपुत्रपीडायाः सञ्चारं च वदेद् बुधः ॥ १४ ॥
The wise one should declare heart disease, loss of honour, destruction of wealth, grain and cattle, and a run of affliction to wife and sons.

Śloka 15 — Śukra as lord of the 2nd or 7th, and its remedy
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहजाड्यं मनोरुजा । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गादेवीजपं चरेत् ॥ १५ ॥
But when (Śukra) is lord of the 2nd or of the 7th, there is torpor of the body and affliction of mind. To remove that doṣa one should undertake japa of Durgā Devī.

Śloka 16 — Gift of a white cow; then Sūrya-antardaśā, auspicious placement
श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यदायिनीम् । केतोरन्तर्गते सूर्ये स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगेऽपि वा ॥ १६ ॥
One should give a white cow and a she-buffalo, which bestow longevity and health. When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Sūrya passes as antardaśā-lord and stands in his ucca, or even in his own kṣetra, or in a kendra, a trikoṇa or the lābha (11th) house, and is conjoined with or aspected by benefics — (then follow the results stated in verses 17–18a: gain of wealth, grain and the like, splendour through royal favour, many auspicious undertakings, and the fulfilment of desires that brings happiness).

Śloka 17 — Sūrya well placed and aspected — results
केन्द्रत्रिकोणलाभे वा शुभैर्युतनिरीक्षिते । धनधान्यादिलाभश्च राजानुग्रहवैभवम् ॥ १७ ॥
— or in a kendra, a trikoṇa or the 11th, joined with or aspected by benefics: there is gain of wealth, grain and the like, and grandeur through the king's favour.

Śloka 18 — Further good results; then Sūrya in the 8th or 12th from lagna
अनेकशुभकार्याणि चेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा । लग्नाद्रन्ध्रव्ययगते पापग्रहसमन्विते ॥ १८ ॥
— many auspicious undertakings, and the fulfilment of desires, bringing happiness. But when (Sūrya) stands from the lagna in the 8th or the 12th, joined with pāpa grahas —

Śloka 19 — Evil results in that bhukti
तद्भुक्तौ राजभीतिश्च पितृमातृवियोजनम् । विदेशगमनं चैव चौराहिव्रणपीडनम् ॥ १९ ॥
— in its bhukti there is fear from the king, separation from father and mother, going to a foreign land, and affliction from thieves, snakes and sores.

Śloka 20 — Further evil results
राजमित्रविरोधश्च राजदण्डाद्धनक्षयः । शोकरोगभयं चैव तापाधिक्यं ज्वरस्तथा ॥ २० ॥
— hostility with the king and with friends, loss of wealth through royal punishment, grief, fear of disease, excess of burning distress, and fever.

Śloka 21 — Sūrya in kendra/koṇa/11th/2nd from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणे वा लाभे वा धनसंस्थिते । देहसौख्यं चार्थलाभः पुत्रलाभो मनो दृढम् ॥ २१ ॥
When (Sūrya) is placed from the daśā-lord in a kendra or koṇa, or in the 11th, or in the 2nd, there is bodily comfort, gain of wealth, gain of a son, and firmness of mind.

Śloka 22 — Success of undertakings; then Sūrya in the 8th or 12th from the daśā-lord
यातुः कार्यार्थसिद्धिः स्यात् स्वल्पग्रामाधिपत्यकम् । दायेशादष्टरिष्फे वा संस्थिते पापसंयुते ॥ २२ ॥
— for one who travels there is accomplishment of his purpose, and lordship over a small village. But when (Sūrya) is placed from the daśā-lord in the 8th or the 12th, joined with pāpa grahas —

Śloka 23 — Evil results, with a staged sequence
अन्नविघ्नं मनोभीति धनधान्यपशुक्षयम् । आदौ मध्ये महाक्लेशानन्ते सौख्यं विनिर्दिशेत् ॥ २३ ॥
— obstruction of food, fear in the mind, destruction of wealth, grain and cattle. One should declare great distress at the beginning and in the middle, and happiness at the end.

Śloka 24 — Sūrya as lord of the 2nd or 7th, and its śānti
द्वितीयसप्तमाधीशे ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति । शान्तिं तत्र प्रकुर्वीत स्वर्णं धेनुं प्रदापयेत् ॥ २४ ॥
When (Sūrya) is lord of the 2nd or the 7th, untimely death will occur. In that case one should perform the śānti rite and cause gold and a milch cow to be given.

Śloka 25 — Candra-antardaśā — auspicious placement
केतोरन्तर्गते चन्द्रे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंस्थिते । केन्द्रत्रिकोणलाभे वा धने सद्ग्रहसंयुते ॥ २५ ॥
When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Candra passes as antardaśā-lord and is placed in his ucca or in his own kṣetra, or in a kendra, a trikoṇa, the 11th or the 2nd, joined with benefic grahas —

Śloka 26 — Results — royal affection, welfare, land
राजप्रीतिर्महोत्साहः कल्याणं च महासुखम् । महाराजप्रसादेन गृहभूम्यादिकागमः ॥ २६ ॥
— the affection of the king, great enthusiasm, welfare and great happiness; and by the favour of a great king the coming of house, land and the like.

Śloka 27 — Profit in trade, vehicles, ornaments
भोजनाम्बरपश्वादिव्यवसायेऽधिकं फलम् । अश्ववाहनलाभश्च वस्त्राभरणभूषणम् ॥ २७ ॥
— abundant profit in trade in food, garments, cattle and the like; gain of horses and vehicles; garments, ornaments and adornments.

Śloka 28 — Pious works; results heightened when the Moon is full
देवालयतडागादि-पुण्यधर्मादिसङ्ग्रहः । पुत्रदारादिसौख्यं च पूर्णे चन्द्रे विशेषतः ॥ २८ ॥
— an accumulation of merit and dharma through temples, tanks and the like, and happiness from sons, wife and the rest — and especially so when the Moon is full.

Śloka 29 — Candra in nīca or waning, in the 6th, 8th or 12th
नीचगे क्षीणचन्द्रे वा षष्ठाष्टव्ययराशिगे । आत्मासौख्यं मनस्तापः कार्यविघ्नं महद्भयम् ॥ २९ ॥
When Candra is in nīca, or is waning, or occupies the 6th, 8th or 12th rāśi, there is discomfort of the self, burning of the mind, obstruction in undertakings, and great fear.

Śloka 30 — Further evil results
पितृमातृवियोगश्च देहजाड्यं मनोरुजा । व्यवसायात् फलं नेष्टं गोमहिष्यादिनाशनम् ॥ ३० ॥
— separation from father and mother, torpor of the body, affliction of mind, no desired result from business, and destruction of cows, buffaloes and the like.

Śloka 31 — Candra strong in kendra/koṇa/11th from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणे वा लाभे वा बलसंयुते । कृषिगोभूमिलाभश्चाभीष्टबन्धुसमागमः ॥ ३१ ॥
When (Candra), endowed with strength, is in a kendra or koṇa or the 11th from the daśā-lord, there is gain of agriculture, cattle and land, and the coming of a beloved kinsman.

Śloka 32 — Success and staged results
ततः स्वकार्यसिद्धिश्च गृहे गोक्षीरमेव च । आरम्भे शुभमारोग्यं मध्ये राजप्रसन्नता ॥ ३२ ॥
— thereafter accomplishment of one's own work, and cow's milk in the house; at the beginning auspiciousness and health, in the middle the king's pleasure,

Śloka 33 — Results at the end of the antardaśā
अन्ते तु राजभीतिश्च विदेशगमनं तथा । दूरे यात्रादिसञ्चारः सम्बन्धिजनपूजनम् ॥ ३३ ॥
— but at the end fear from the king, and going abroad, travel and movement to distant places, and honouring by one's relatives.

Śloka 34 — Candra weak in the 6th, 12th or 8th from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् षष्ठरिष्फे वा रन्ध्रे वा बलवर्जिते । धनधान्यादिहानिश्च मनोव्याकुलमेव च ॥ ३४ ॥
When (Candra), devoid of strength, is in the 6th or 12th or the 8th from the daśā-lord, there is loss of wealth, grain and the like, and agitation of mind.

Śloka 35 — Hostility of kin; the 8th-lord doṣa
स्वबन्धुजनविद्वेषो भ्रातृपीडा तथैव च । निधनाधिपदोषेण द्विसप्तस्वामिसंयुते ॥ ३५ ॥
— hatred among one's own kinsmen, and likewise affliction of brothers. Through the doṣa of being lord of the 8th, or when joined with the lord of the 2nd or the 7th —

Śloka 36 — Fear of untimely death, and its śānti
अपमृत्युभयं तस्य शान्तिं कुर्याद्यथाविधि । चन्द्रप्रीतिकरीं चैव ह्यायुरारोग्यवृद्धये ॥ ३६ ॥
— there is fear of untimely death. For that one should perform the śānti rite according to rule, one that pleases Candra, for the increase of longevity and health.

Śloka 37 — Bhauma (Maṅgala)-antardaśā — auspicious placement
केतोरन्तर्गते भौमे लग्नात् केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे । स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे चैव शुभखेटयुतेक्षिते ॥ ३७ ॥
When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Bhauma passes as antardaśā-lord and stands from the lagna in a kendra or trikoṇa, or in his ucca or his own kṣetra, joined with or aspected by benefic grahas —

Śloka 38 — Results — land, wealth, cattle
आदौ शुभफलं चैव ग्रामभूम्यादिकागमः । धनधान्यचतुष्पाद-जीवलाभो भवेदपि ॥ ३८ ॥
— at the outset auspicious results, and the coming of village, land and the like; there is also gain of wealth, grain, quadrupeds and livestock.

Śloka 39 — House, garden and field; the 9th–10th connection
गृहारामक्षेत्रलाभो राजानुग्रहवैभवम् । भाग्ये कर्मेशसम्बद्धे भूलाभः सौख्यमेव च ॥ ३९ ॥
— gain of house, garden and field, and grandeur through the king's favour; and when the 9th (or its lord) is connected with the lord of the 10th, gain of land and happiness.

Śloka 40 — Bhauma in kendra/koṇa/3rd/11th from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा । राजप्रीतिर्यशोलाभः पुत्रमित्रादिजं सुखम् ॥ ४० ॥
When (Bhauma) is in a kendra or koṇa from the daśā-lord, or in the 3rd, or in the 11th, there is the king's affection, gain of fame, and happiness arising from sons, friends and the rest.

Śloka 41 — Bhauma in the 8th, 12th or 2nd from the daśā-lord
रन्ध्रगे व्ययगे भौमे दायेशाद्धनगेऽपि च । द्रुतं करोति मरणं विदेशे चापदं श्रमम् ॥ ४१ ॥
When Bhauma is in the 8th or in the 12th, or also in the 2nd from the daśā-lord, he swiftly brings about death, and calamity and toil in a foreign land.

Śloka 42 — Diseases and quarrels, with slight gain
प्रमेहमूत्रकृच्छ्रादि-चौरादिनृपपीडनम् । कलहादिव्यथायुक्तं किञ्चित् सुखविवर्धनम् ॥ ४२ ॥
— urinary disorders such as prameha and strangury, harassment by thieves and by the king, and, mingled with the pain of quarrels and the like, some slight increase of happiness.

Śloka 43 — Bhauma as lord of the 2nd or 7th
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु तापज्वरविषाद् भयम् । दारपीडामनःक्लेशो ह्यपमृत्युभयं भवेत् ॥ ४३ ॥
But when (Bhauma) is lord of the 2nd or of the 7th, there is danger from burning fever and from poison, affliction of the wife, distress of mind, and fear of untimely death.

Śloka 44 — Gift of an ox; then Rāhu-antardaśā, auspicious placement
अनड्वाहं प्रदद्यात्तु सर्वसम्पत् सुखावहम् । केतोरन्तर्गते राहौ स्वोच्चे मित्रस्वराशिगे ॥ ४४ ॥
One should give an ox, which brings all prosperity and happiness. When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Rāhu passes as antardaśā-lord and stands in his ucca, or in a friend's or his own rāśi —

Śloka 45 — Rāhu in kendra/koṇa/11th/3rd/2nd — immediate wealth
केन्द्रत्रिकोणलाभे वा दुश्चिक्ये धनराशिगे । तत्काले धनलाभः स्यात् सञ्चारो भवति ध्रुवम् ॥ ४५ ॥
— or in a kendra, a trikoṇa or the 11th, in the 3rd, or in the 2nd rāśi: at that time there will be gain of wealth, and travel is certain.

Śloka 46 — Favour of a mleccha ruler; gains of livestock and land
म्लेच्छप्रभुवशात् सौख्यं धनधान्यफलादिकम् । चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभः स्याद् ग्रामभूम्यादिकागमः ॥ ४६ ॥
— happiness through a mleccha ruler, wealth, grain, produce and the like; there will be gain of quadrupeds and livestock, and the coming of village, land and so forth.

Śloka 47 — Staged results of the Rāhu antardaśā
भुक्त्यादौ क्लेशमाप्नोति मध्यान्ते सौख्यमाप्नुयात् ।
At the beginning of the bhukti he meets with distress; in the middle and at the end he obtains happiness.

Śloka 48 — Rāhu in the 8th or 12th, afflicted by pāpas
रन्ध्रे वा व्ययगे राहौ पापैर्दृष्टेऽथ संयुते । बहुमूत्रं कृशो देहः शीतज्वरविषाद् भयम् ॥ ४८ ॥
When Rāhu is in the 8th or the 12th, aspected by or joined with pāpa grahas, there is excessive urination, an emaciated body, and danger from cold fever and from poison.

Śloka 49 — Further diseases
चातुर्थिकज्वरश्चैव क्षुद्रोपद्रवपीडनम् । अकस्मात् कलहश्चैव प्रमेहः शूलमेव च ॥ ४९ ॥
— quartan fever, affliction from minor calamities, sudden quarrel, prameha, and colic pain.

Śloka 50 — Rāhu in the 2nd or 7th, and the remedy
द्वितीयसप्तमस्थे वा तदा क्लेशो महद् भयम् । तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गादेवीजपं चरेत् ॥ ५० ॥
Or when (Rāhu) stands in the 2nd or the 7th, then there is distress and great fear. To remove that doṣa one should undertake japa of Durgā Devī.

When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Jīva (Guru) passes as antardaśā-lord and stands in a kendra, the 11th or a trikoṇa, or in his ucca or his own kṣetra, joined with the lord of the lagna —

— when joined with the lords of the 10th and the 9th: riches of wealth, grain and money; the king's affection, likewise enthusiasm, and the coming of horses, palanquins and the like.

Śloka 53 — Household welfare, birth of a son, pilgrimage
गृहे कल्याणसम्पत्तिः पुत्रलाभो महोत्सवः । पुण्यतीर्थे महोत्साहः सत्कर्म च सुखावहम् ॥ ५३ ॥
— welfare and prosperity in the home, gain of a son, a great festivity, great zeal at a holy tīrtha, and good works that bring happiness.

Śloka 54 — Success by the grace of the iṣṭadevatā
इष्टदेवप्रसादेन कार्यलाभो जयस्तथा । राजसंलापकार्याणि नूतनप्रभुदर्शनम् ॥ ५४ ॥
— by the grace of the iṣṭadevatā, attainment of one's object and likewise victory; dealings and conversation with the king, and the sight of a new sovereign.

When Jīva is in the 6th, 8th or 12th from the daśā-lord, or is in nīca, there is fear from thieves, snakes and sores, and destruction of wealth, grain and the like.

Śloka 56 — Separation from family; staged results
पुत्रदारावियोगश्चाप्यतीव क्लेशसम्भवः । आदौ शुभफलं चैवमन्ते क्लेशः प्रजायते ॥ ५६ ॥
— separation from son and wife, and the arising of very great distress; auspicious results at the beginning, and thus at the end distress is produced.

Śloka 57 — Guru in kendra/koṇa/3rd/11th from the daśā-lord with benefics
दायेशात् केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा । शुभयुक्ते नृपप्रीतिर्विचित्राम्बरभूषणम् ॥ ५७ ॥
When (Jīva) is in a kendra or koṇa from the daśā-lord, or in the 3rd, or in the 11th, and joined with benefics, there is the king's affection, and wondrous garments and ornaments.

Śloka 58 — Distant travel, support of kin, early bodily pain
दूरदेशप्रयाणं च स्वबन्धुजनपोषणम् । भोजनाम्बरपश्वादि-भुक्त्यादौ देहपीडनम् ॥ ५८ ॥
— journeying to a distant land, the maintenance of one's own kinsfolk, food, garments, cattle and the like; at the beginning of the bhukti, bodily affliction.

Śloka 59 — End of the bhukti; Guru as lord of the 2nd or 7th
अन्ते तु स्थानचलनमकस्मात् कलहो भवेत् । द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ॥ ५९ ॥
— but at the end, displacement from one's position and sudden quarrel. And when (Jīva) is lord of the 2nd or of the 7th, untimely death will occur.

Śloka 60 — Remedy — Śiva-sahasranāma and Mahāmṛtyuñjaya
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् । महामृत्युञ्जयं जाप्यं सर्वोपद्रवनाशनम् ॥ ६० ॥
To remove that doṣa one should recite the Śiva-sahasra(nāma); the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya is to be muttered, which destroys all calamities.

Śloka 61 — Śani-antardaśā — general affliction
केतोरन्तर्गते मन्दे स्वदशायां तु पीडनम् । बन्धोः क्लेशो मनस्तापो नाशः स्यात्तु चतुष्पदाम् ॥ ६१ ॥
When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Manda (Śani) passes as antardaśā-lord, in his own period there is affliction: distress to a kinsman, burning of mind, and destruction of quadrupeds.

Śloka 62 — Loss through royal affairs, displacement, travel
राजकार्यकलापेन धननाशो महद् भयम् । स्थानच्च्युतिः प्रवासश्च मार्गे चौरभयं भवेत् ॥ ६२ ॥
— through a train of royal business, loss of wealth and great fear; fall from one's position, sojourn abroad, and fear of thieves on the road.

Śloka 63 — Sloth and loss when Śani is in the 8th or 12th; then Śani well placed
आलस्यं मनसो हानिश्चाष्टमे व्ययराशिगे । मीनत्रिकोणगे मन्दे तुलायां स्वर्क्षगेऽपि वा ॥ ६३ ॥
— sloth and loss of mental strength, when he is in the 8th or the 12th rāśi. But when Manda is in a trikoṇa from Mīna, or in Tulā, or in his own rāśi —

केन्द्रत्रिकोणलाभे वा दुश्चिक्ये वा शुभांशके । शुभेक्षितयुते चैव सर्वकार्यार्थसाधनम् ॥ ६४ ॥
— or in a kendra, a trikoṇa or the 11th, or in the 3rd, or in a benefic aṃśa, and aspected by or joined with benefics: there is accomplishment of all one's objects and undertakings.

Śloka 65 — Happiness from one's master, victory in battle
स्वप्रभोश्च महत् सौख्यं भ्रमणं विजयो रणे । स्वग्रामे सुखसम्पत्तिः स्वर्गे राजदर्शनम् ॥ ६५ ॥
— great happiness from one's own master, wandering about, victory in battle, happiness and prosperity in one's own village, and (in svarga?) the sight of the king.

Śloka 66 — Śani in the 6th, 12th or 8th from the daśā-lord with pāpas
दायेशात् षष्ठरिष्फे वा चाष्टमे पापसंयुते । देहतापो मनस्तापः कार्यविघ्नो महद् भयम् ॥ ६६ ॥
When (Śani) is in the 6th or 12th, or in the 8th from the daśā-lord, joined with pāpa grahas, there is burning of the body, burning of the mind, obstruction of undertakings, and great fear.

Śloka 67 — Loss of honour, death of parents; Śani as lord of the 2nd or 7th

— sloth, loss of honour, and the destruction of mother and father. And when (Śani) is lord of the 2nd or of the 7th, there is fear of untimely death.

Śloka 68 — Remedy — tila-homa and gift of a black cow
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं तिलहोमं च कारयेत् । कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यवृद्धिदाम् ॥ ६८ ॥
To remove that doṣa one should have a tila-homa performed, and should give a black cow and a she-buffalo, which bestow increase of longevity and health.

Śloka 69 — Budha-antardaśā — auspicious placement
केतोरन्तर्गते सौम्ये केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे । स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुक्ते राज्यलाभो महत्सुखम् ॥ ६९ ॥
When, within (the daśā of) Ketu, Saumya (Budha) passes as antardaśā-lord and stands in a kendra, the 11th or a trikoṇa, or in his ucca or joined with his own kṣetra, there is gain of kingdom and great happiness.

Śloka 70 — Sacred discourse, charity, gains
सत्कथाश्रवणं दानं धर्मसिद्धिः सुखावहा । भूलाभः पुत्रलाभश्च शुभगोष्ठी धनागमः ॥ ७० ॥
— the hearing of holy discourse, charity, accomplishment of dharma bringing happiness; gain of land and gain of a son, auspicious company, and the coming of wealth.

Śloka 71 — Effortless merit, marriage, household auspiciousness
अयत्नाद्धर्मलब्धिश्च विवाहश्च भविष्यति । गृहे शुभकरं कृत्यं वस्त्राभरणभूषणम् ॥ ७१ ॥
— the winning of dharma without effort, and a marriage will take place; an auspicious ceremony in the house, and garments, ornaments and adornments.

Śloka 72 — Budha joined with the lords of the 9th and 10th
भाग्यकर्माधिपैर्युक्ते भाग्यवृद्धिः सुखावहा । विद्वद्गोष्ठीप्रसङ्गेन संलापो भूषणागमः ॥ ७२ ॥
When (Budha) is joined with the lords of the 9th and the 10th, there is increase of fortune bringing happiness; through the occasion of an assembly of the learned, conversation and the coming of ornaments.

Śloka 73 — Budha in the 6th, 8th or 12th with Śani, Maṅgala or Rāhu
षष्ठाष्टमव्यये सौम्ये मन्दाराहियुतेक्षिते । विरोधो राजपुरुषैः परगेहनिवासनम् ॥ ७३ ॥
When Saumya is in the 6th, 8th or 12th, joined with or aspected by Manda, Āra (Maṅgala) or Ahi (Rāhu), there is hostility with the king's officers, and dwelling in another's house.

Śloka 74 — Loss of goods; staged results
वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिधनधान्यादिनाशनम् । भुक्त्यादौ शोभनं प्रोक्तं मध्ये सौख्यं धनागमः ॥ ७४ ॥
— destruction of vehicles, garments, cattle and the like, and of wealth and grain. At the beginning of the bhukti fine results are declared, in the middle happiness and the coming of wealth.

Śloka 75 — Distress at the end; then Budha in kendra/koṇa/11th from the daśā-lord

— but at the end there will be distress and affliction of wife, sons and the rest. When Saumya is in a kendra from the daśā-lord, or in a trikoṇa, or in the 11th —

— bodily health, great gain, the welfare and prosperity of sons, and abundant profit in trade in food, garments, cattle and the like.

Śloka 77 — Budha weak in the 6th, 8th or 12th from the daśā-lord
दायेशात् षष्ठरन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा बलवर्जिते । तद्भुक्त्यादौ महाक्लेशो दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ७७ ॥
When (Budha), devoid of strength, is in the 6th or the 8th, or in the 12th from the daśā-lord, at the beginning of that bhukti there is great distress and affliction of wife, sons and the rest.

Śloka 78 — Royal fear, pilgrimage; Budha as lord of the 2nd or 7th
