In 1993, Acharya Anand entered Maharishi Ved Vigyan Vishwa Vidya Peetham. Not as a visitor — as a student. While other children were learning the alphabet, he was learning the sky: the Vedas, meditation, and the discipline of Jyotiṣa. His mother was his first teacher.

That detail explains everything that came after. Almost everyone in this field arrives from somewhere else — engineers, teachers, businesspeople who turned to astrology later in life. He went the other direction. He learned the śāstra first, and learned technology afterwards, because the astrology demanded it.

One second changes the answer.

A birth time off by moments moves a lagna. It moves a daśā. It changes what you tell someone about their marriage, their child, their work. Somebody is going to make a decision based on that reading.
